Melton FLO aims to provide a comprehensive program to build and promote a sense of belonging, safety and inclusion, using a trauma informed approach in all areas of learning, assessment and social and emotional supports. Melton FLO prides itself on creating a culture that is inclusive, engaging and supportive that embraces and celebrates diversity and empowers all students to participate and feel valued and well supported. Melton FLO builds strong relationships with all students, many of whom are at risk and vulnerable due to complex circumstances.
At Melton FLO, we believe that all students should be given every opportunity to reach their full potential. The school is committed to building a secure learning environment where all students feel culturally, emotionally and physically safe, and reflects the school values of Safety, Respect and Personal Best.
Students, staff and parents/carers are able to refer to the Melton FLO Wellbeing Coordinator for consultation on issues such as friendship, social skills, bullying, grief, adolescent behaviour, mental health issues, learning difficulties, family issues and more.

This empowers the young person to seek assistance, be confident in making their own decisions and hold the power and voice in their choices. We maintain a welcoming ‘open door’ approach where students, staff, and families collaborate as equal partners in education. Together, we nurture and empower young people to achieve their full potential and future success.
